The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning the work to be executed in their respective area, during weekly online and offline maintenance windows. The role also involves continuously improving maintenance plans and strategies, and seeking feedback to enhance planning quality.
Responsibilities include:
- Enabling safe and efficient execution of shutdown asset strategies and maintenance work through detailed job preparation.
- Establishing standard job plans for repetitive shutdown maintenance tasks to foster standardization.
- Ensuring all improvements in work execution are communicated and implemented clearly.
- Managing Area/Disciple maintenance plans as the primary custodian.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Providing detailed job plans to ensure safe and efficient maintenance execution.
- Following management of change processes for new materials required.
- Managing work notification and work order backlog by reviewing, grouping, and coordinating with production.
- Developing or copying work order plans, documenting skills, duration, tools, and equipment.
- Creating purchase orders for components, building a job plan library, and updating plans for efficiency.
- Forwarding ready-to-schedule job packages to the Scheduler.
- Processing notifications to a planned state, identifying priorities, and completing planning functions before scheduling.
- Engaging technicians and engineering teams for detailed scoping and planning.
- Developing risk assessments leveraging workshop knowledge.
- Updating site master data and documentation systems as needed.
- Measuring performance through planning metrics.
- Supporting long-term budget development using PM task details.
- Implementing plant reliability practices focusing on preventative and predictive maintenance.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Craft knowledge and skills for accurate labor and material estimation, organizational and planning skills, and in-depth maintenance process knowledge. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
Preferred Professional Training
SAP maintenance modules.
Professional Experience (Must Haves)
At least 5 years of trade or engineering experience in a relevant industry.
