Job Description
Displays good teamwork attitudes while working in a team for maintenance, repairs, setup or service works, creating an atmosphere of tranquility among the team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Under the guidance of the AV Supervisor and within the limits of the established Rixos Hotels policies and Operational Standards Manual, responsibilities include providing efficient, personalized, courteous, and punctual service, ensuring all AV equipment is in good condition, and demonstrating technical skills.
MANDATORY (ISO IMS COMPLIANCE): It is the responsibility of all employees to adhere to the established ISO Integrated Management System, which includes Quality, LQA, Environment, Health, Safety & Risk Management policies, procedures, manuals, SOPs, and other applicable legal requirements.
Employees are expected and strongly encouraged to participate and contribute to the comprehensive risk management program, environmental impact assessments, pollution prevention, energy and water saving initiatives, enhancement of quality and guest satisfaction, and continuous improvement plans.
Education and Experience: Diploma/Certificate in Electrical or Audio Visual fields; Minimum 2-3 years in a similar role; Good communication skills in English.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure all AV equipment is clean and properly maintained.
- Install, set up, and configure audio-visual equipment, including projectors, microphones, sound systems, lighting, video monitors, cameras, and video conferencing systems.
- Ensure all equipment is properly connected and functional before events or presentations.
- Operate and control AV systems during events, ensuring high-quality sound and visuals.
- Manage live audio mixing, video switching, and lighting during events.
- Perform routine maintenance on AV equipment for optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with AV systems and equipment.
- Repair or coordinate repairs for faulty equipment.
- Provide technical support to event organizers, presenters, and users of AV equipment.
- Assist with setup and operation during live events, ensuring smooth delivery.
- Collaborate with event coordinators, IT teams, and other stakeholders to meet specific event needs.
- Manage AV equipment inventory, maintain records of repairs and maintenance, and document setup configurations and procedures.
- Be fully aware of recreation facilities, evening program, show timings, and stage setups, including managing sound checks and singer riders.
