General Summary : The Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support and guidance across all areas of the company's operations. This role includes assisting in the conduct of corporate / M&A transactions, establishment and ongoing operation of joint ventures, including drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, contract management, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and supporting the Group General Counsel / Associate General Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel in managing legal risks and disputes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a good understanding of corporate and commercial law, and experience in the industrial / steel manufacturing sector.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts and legal documents, including sale and purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, supply agreements, vendor contracts, and service agreements.
• Support the Group General Counsel / Associate General Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel in ensuring the company's compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including corporate, labor and environmental laws.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support the Group General Counsel / Associate General Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel in advising the company on various legal matters.
• Assist in identifying potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, particularly those associated with the manufacturing and supply chain operations.
• Provide support in managing litigation, disputes, and arbitration processes, including preparing legal documents and coordinating with external counsel.
• Assist in developing and updating internal policies and procedures to ensure they comply with legal requirements.
• Provide general legal support to various departments within the company as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and / or Abilities (attributes) required :

Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves) :

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Admission as a solicitor in a recognized jurisdiction (e.g. England and Wales, U.S.A., Australia, etc.).

Professional Experience (Must Haves)

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a legal counsel role, preferably with Projects / Construction legal background.
• Experience with corporate / M&A transactions, joint ventures and procurement / commercial contracts.
