Help AG is looking for a Senior IT Engineer (SolarWinds Platform) with robust experience in managing hybrid environments comprising Linux, Windows, virtualization, and backup systems. The role will be responsible for end-to-end infrastructure monitoring, server management, and supporting high-availability enterprise systems using tools like SolarWinds, Hyper-V, and Commvault.

Responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure visibility using SolarWinds to monitor performance, uptime, and capacity.

• Administer and support Linux servers, including automation through Bash/Python scripting.

• Manage Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory, and Group Policy.

• Administer Microsoft Hyper-V environments for virtualization and VM lifecycle.

• Manage Dell physical servers and enterprise storage systems.

• Operate and maintain Commvault for VM backup and restore procedures.

• Perform regular system upgrades, patching, and maintain detailed documentation.

• Provide timely support for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.

• Ensure high availability, performance, and security across critical IT systems.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering roles.

• Proficient in Linux system administration and scripting.

• Solid experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Hyper-V.

• Familiarity with SolarWinds for infrastructure monitoring and performance tracking.

• Experience managing Dell server/storage platforms and using Commvault for backup/restore.

• Good understanding of backup, disaster recovery (DR), and infrastructure best practices.

• Industry certifications such as RHCSA, MCSE, VMware, etc., are a plus.
