Job Description

• Electrical Maintenance: Execute day-shift electrical maintenance activities in the Steel Melting Plant (SMP), ensuring both corrective and preventive tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard to maximize plant utilization at minimal cost.
• Work Planning & Safety: Adhere to electrical safety rules, work inspection reports, and job risk assessments. Follow job-specific procedures and utilize condition monitoring techniques to proactively prevent equipment failure.
• Analysis & Reporting: Collaborate with the supervisor to analyze previous shifts' activities and develop targeted action plans for minimizing line stoppages and improving fault diagnostics.
• Team Supervision & Development: Guide, monitor, and train new team members to ensure they possess the necessary skills and behaviors to support high-quality maintenance services.
• Problem Solving: Provide hands-on technical support for resolving complex maintenance issues, minimizing downtime, and enhancing team technical acumen.
• Spare Parts Management: Support the supervisor in managing spare parts inventory to ensure availability and cost efficiency.
• Production Coordination: Liaise daily with production teams to finalize machine shutdown schedules and receive feedback on historical service standards.
• System Entry & Job Tracking: Ensure accurate input of job details into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track trends and ensure timely job closure.
• Performance Review: Analyze outstanding maintenance jobs weekly to identify causes of delays and initiate corrective actions.
• Budget Assistance: Aid in data preparation and report generation for the annual maintenance budgeting process.
• UAE National Development: Support the development of UAE national employees by contributing to Individual Development Plans (IDPs) aligned with company policy.
• HSE & Quality Standards: Ensure adherence to the company’s Integrated Management System and Nuclear QS Program for maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and major repairs.
• Additional Duties:
  Implement plant cleanliness programs.
  Participate in planning and execution of plant improvement and expansion projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education:
  Diploma or Trade Certificate (ITI) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  Additional training in Electrical & Automation systems for Steel Melting and Billet Casting processes is preferred.
• Experience:
  Minimum 5 years (Diploma holder) or 8 years (Trade Certificate holder) in electrical maintenance within a steel plant.
  Prior experience in Steel Melting and Billet Casting plants with advanced automation systems is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
  Strong understanding of the Steel Melting and Billet Casting process.
  Working knowledge of Level 1 Automation systems.
  Hands-on experience with equipment such as Medium Voltage Substations, Transformers, Switchgears, PLCs, Drives, and Motors.
  Proficiency in CMMS, preferably SAP.
  Basic computer literacy (e.g., MS Word, Email).
