About the Role :

The Architectural Site Inspector will assist the Resident Engineer in managing the operational functions of daily activities on the project. The role involves reviewing and approving all contractor submittals, as well as participating in quality control and assurance processes.

Under the supervision of the project Resident Engineer, the inspector performs routine inspection and monitoring tasks to ensure proper construction supervision. This includes inspecting various aspects of work on-site, conducting continuous surveillance of activities to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications, and documenting non-conformance issues for resolution.

• Assist the Site Architect with contractual duties on site.
• Verify the quality of finishes and materials, ensuring they meet standards and project requirements by examining surfaces, finishes, and coatings for proper application and defect-free quality.
• Ensure installation compliance of finishes, joinery, doors, windows, facades, walls, ceilings, and tiles with approved drawings and standards.
• Inspect installation quality for tiles, flooring, glazing, GRC, and wall claddings, checking alignment, adhesion, grouting, and workmanship.
• Check surface preparations for smoothness, cleanliness, and proper priming or sealing, and verify material compatibility.
• Inspect materials and installations for fire resistance, acoustic performance, and moisture protection.
• Manage electronic documentation systems (e.g., ASite, Aconex) and oversee snagging/demolition processes.
• Interface with the public, especially residents and business owners, to mitigate construction impacts.
• Oversee and inspect all architectural work to ensure compliance with contractual and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and utility authorities for connections as needed.
• Ensure use of project quality control procedures and monitor for improvements.
• Coordinate all contractor activities related to this discipline.
• Perform daily works and material inspection requests.
• Support the Site Architect in reviewing submittals from project start to completion.
• Collaborate to eliminate hazards and ensure safety and environmental standards.
• Review and interpret design drawings and specifications for accuracy and current revision levels.
• Provide solutions for technical problems within the discipline, ensuring progress.
• Monitor procurement and delivery of materials to support schedule adherence.
• Verify received materials meet quality standards.
• Document discipline data for project turnover and reports.
• Maintain records, back charge procedures, and progress reports.
• Inspect temporary and permanent works for compliance with contract documents and drawings.
• Prepare daily logs and reports, maintaining inspection records and test results.
• Observe safety and quality practices, reporting concerns.
• Record site progress via photos/videos.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

• Degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience on large-scale projects.
• Experience with Revit and other software is advantageous.
• Regional experience preferred.
• ADM & DM registration is preferred.
• Knowledge of local building codes (ADIBC, ADCD, FLS, etc.).
• Ability to manage and coordinate a team of moderate size and complexity.
