We are looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team in Umm-al-Qaiwain. This position requires surveying and mapping land using accurate technology. The successful candidate must have field experience and a good knowledge of survey principles and practices.
- Conduct surveys of land for construction or engineering projects
- Measure distances, elevations, angles, areas and other characteristics of land using specialized equipment
- Interpret survey data from aerial photographs or other sources
- Prepare maps, drawings and reports related to survey findings
- Use computers to produce maps for use in geographic information systems (GIS)
- Experience in land surveying and solid knowledge of survey principles and practices
- Excellent problem solving, communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Understanding of local laws related to land surveying is an asset
- Understanding of safety regulations
