Job summary
A leading energy company in the UAE is seeking a professional to manage contracts and oversee procurement activities throughout project lifecycles. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience, mainly in the energy sector. Responsibilities include managing contracts, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring adherence to procurement policies. The ideal candidate will have experience in O&M and construction for gas-fired power plants, and familiarity with SAP MM modules is advantageous.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in contract management and strategic sourcing, preferably in energy.
- Proven track record in vendor contract negotiations, including EPC contracts.
- Hands-on experience in procurement for construction and/or O&M of gas-fired power plants.
Responsibilities
- Administer all contracts and agreements during project execution.
- Responsible for verification of monthly payment claims.
- Negotiate contracts and optimize pricing and terms with suppliers.
