An Assistant Nurse plays a crucial role in healthcare by providing essential support to registered nurses and doctors in the delivery of care. Often referred to as nursing assistants or aides, these professionals are responsible for performing a range of tasks that ensure the well-being and comfort of patients. As an Assistant Nurse, you will work in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and outpatient facilities. • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor and report changes in patients’ health conditions promptly to the nursing staff.
• Record and maintain accurate patient information, including vital signs and intake/output.
• Support registered nurses with healthcare procedures such as administering medications.
• Help transport patients to different departments within the healthcare facility safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment to prevent infection and ensure patient comfort.
• Assist in preparing patients for surgery or other medical procedures as required.
• Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their families during care.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols.
• Participate in the rehabilitation process by encouraging and assisting with physical activities.
• Help with the feeding of patients, paying attention to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and treatment.

• Completion of a certified nursing assistant program or equivalent healthcare certification.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred and advantageous.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices is essential.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving patients efficiently.
• Empathy and patience when dealing with patients suffering from various conditions.
• Adept at multitasking and able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
