Job summary

Client of Careers International is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to independently oversee workshop operations in Abu Dhabi. The role covers fleet maintenance, preventive maintenance planning, manpower management, and heavy equipment troubleshooting.

You will lead a team of mechanics and technicians, optimize spare parts usage, monitor repair quality, and ensure safety and cost control across the workshop operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Automobile Engineering or related technical qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience in independently handling automobile workshop/fleet maintenance operations.
• Experience in managing a fleet of multi‑brand vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, heavy equipment repair, vehicle diagnostics, and workshop management.
• Ability to troubleshoot heavy equipment such as forklifts, shovels, air compressors, and other industrial or construction equipment.
• Good leadership skills with experience in managing technicians and workshop manpower.
• Strong planning, coordination, reporting, and cost‑control skills.
• Preference will be given to candidates with UAE experience.
• Valid UAE Driving License is an added advantage.

• Coordinate with operations, fleet, procurement, and stores teams for a smooth maintenance workflow.
• Manage and organize the workforce, including mechanics, technicians, helpers, and supervisors.
• Ensure workshop safety standards, housekeeping, and compliance with company procedures.
