Job summary

Target Engineering and Construction Co. LLC seeks an experienced Welding Supervisor to lead welding and fabrication activities on Oil & Gas EPC projects in the UAE.

The role requires reviewing drawings, WPS, ITPs, and project specs while ensuring QA/QC readiness and strict HSE adherence. The ideal candidate will have 10–12 years in welding/fabrication, 3–5 years in supervisory roles, and proven experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, petrochemical, marine, or heavy fabrication.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years in a Welding Supervisor, Welding Foreman, or similar supervisory roles.
• Proven experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, Industrial, Marine, or Heavy Fabrication projects.
• Strong hands-on experience managing welding crews, fabrication activities, productivity, and quality compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate welding and fabrication activities across project sites and fabrication yards.
• Review engineering drawings, isometrics, WPS, ITPs, and project specifications.
• Prepare welding schedules, manpower allocation plans, and work priorities.
• Lead welders, fitters, foremen, and helpers to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.
• Monitor welding parameters and ensure compliance with approved WPS requirements.
• Conduct pre-weld, in-process, and post-weld visual inspections before QA/QC inspections.
• Coordinate welding inspections, NDT activities, client inspections, and NCR closeouts.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, issuance, and traceability of welding consumables.
• Enforce hot work procedures, permit requirements, PPE compliance, and welding safety standards.
• Monitor productivity, welding repairs, equipment performance, and project progress.
• Prepare daily progress reports, welding logs, equipment records, and manpower reports.
• Coordinate closely with QA/QC, Engineering, Planning, Material Control, Warehouse, NDT, and HSE teams.

We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to join our Oil & Gas Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating welding and fabrication activities while ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved WPS, quality standards, and HSE requirements to achieve planned productivity targets.

YOUR ROLE

As a Welding Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities, including but not limited to:

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• 10-12 years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years in a Welding Supervisor, Welding Foreman, or similar supervisory roles
• Proven experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, Industrial, Marine, or Heavy Fabrication projects.
• Strong hands-on experience managing welding crews, fabrication activities, productivity, and quality compliance.

Education and Certifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, Welding Technology, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Certified Welder or Welding Trade Certificate.
• Supervisory certifications are advantageous.
• Additional certifications such as CSWIP 3.0/3.1 VT, AWS CWI (Basic), or BGAS are considered an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong expertise in welding processes including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW.
• Strong technical knowledge of welding consumables, welding equipment, metallurgy, and welding parameters.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, fabrication documents, WPS, ITPs, and project specifications.
• Excellent leadership, workforce management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities in welding and fabrication activities.
• Good communication, coordination, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong understanding of welding quality requirements, inspection processes, and NDT coordination.
• Good knowledge of welding-related safety standards, hot work procedures, and HSE requirements.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with QA/QC, Engineering, Planning, Construction, and HSE teams.
