Job summary

Confidential in the UAE seeks a skilled Chemist to join its Research & Development and Quality team, focusing on Home Care and Personal Care formulations. You will develop, test, and optimize detergents, cleaners, cosmetics, and personal care products for FMCG markets.

The role covers bench trials, stability studies, regulatory compliance (GHS, REACH, INCI), scale-up from lab to production, documentation, and collaboration with Marketing, Procurement, Production, and Regulatory Affairs to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years of relevant experience in FMCG formulation chemistry (Home Care/Personal Care).
• Hands-on experience in developing, testing, and optimizing detergents, cleaners, cosmetics, and toiletries.

Responsibilities

• Develop, formulate, and optimize new products and improve existing formulations in Home Care and Personal Care.
• Conduct bench-scale trials, stability studies, and compatibility testing of materials.
• Perform physicochemical testing (pH, viscosity, density, foam height, turbidity, color, odor).
• Evaluate raw materials, surfactants, actives, fragrances, and packaging for suitability and cost.
• Scale up formulations from lab to pilot to production, coordinating with manufacturing teams.
