Job summary

Stantec in Dubai is seeking a Planning Engineer to develop the project execution plan with the resident engineer and to oversee scheduling, cost estimation, and reporting for large civil projects.

The role requires a civil engineering degree with at least ten years of design and construction programming experience, and proficiency in Primavera to estimate timescales and costs and monitor progress against plans.

Qualifications

• The Planning engineer must have a relevant degree from a recognized university and a civil engineering background with knowledge and work experience of not less than ten years in design and construction programming/planning of similar projects.
• Candidate will estimate timescales and costs using Primavera.
• One major role is to monitor day-to-day work progress and provide accurate weekly and monthly reports by communicating potential delays or slippages.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day work progress for the project and provide accurate weekly and monthly reports.
• Communicate potential progress delays or project slippages promptly to the lead project manager.
• Track and analyze field results and compare planned vs actual progress; report differences to the project leadership.
• Study the impact of alternative approaches on project schedule and costs.
