Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Infrastructure Inspector to join our Abu Dhabi team. You will inspect potable water pipelines, valves, chambers, hydrants, and service connections, ensuring compliance with IFC/shop drawings, specifications, ITPs, and QA/QC standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 7 years in water distribution projects in UAE/GCC, strong communication and coordination skills, and familiarity with TAQA Water standards and safety

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure projects, especially potable water distribution.
• Experience with drawings, specs, ITPs, QA/QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect potable water pipelines, valves, chambers, hydrants and related works.
• Monitor excavation, pipe laying, backfilling and reinstatement works.
• Verify compliance with IFC/shop drawings, specifications and ITPs.
• Coordinate with Survey Team on alignment, levels and clearances.
• Witness pressure testing, flushing, disinfection and commissioning.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, photos and test results.
• Coordinate with ARE/RE, Contractor, QA/QC and other inspectors.
• Monitor interfaces with sewerage, stormwater and utilities.
• Ensure adherence to HSE requirements during excavation and confined spaces.
• Support TAQA Water inspections and final handover.
