Job summary

Al Khayyat Investments (AKI) in Dubai is looking for a Logistics Supervisor to oversee receipts, storage, and dispatches, ensuring alignment with the company’s business plan. You will deputize the Distribution Centre Manager in their absence and drive efficient floor operations.

Key responsibilities include optimizing inbound/outbound routing, maintaining stock accuracy through weekly cycle counts, and ensuring QA standards in all loading/unloading activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review reports on stocks and productivity.

Job description

To arrange and supervise the receipts, storage, and dispatches of products to achieve the company’s business plan. Deputize the Distribution Centre Manager in his absence.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Resource planning and utilization:

Plan the daily effective use of resources, manage and handle floor and delivery operations to maximize productivity.

Incoming and Delivery trucks routing & scheduling:

• Plan daily incoming truck offloading to maximize staff productivity.
• Plan and schedule the routing effectively and efficiently in order to meet delivery lead-time target and maximize fleet utilization.
• Generate pick slips and distribute them to picking team to support delivery schedule.

Stock accuracy:

Ensure quantity of goods loaded / received are as per order quantity to facilitate cycle counts are conducted and reconciled weekly to achieve inventory record accuracy.

Delivery returns:

Verify and confirm the quantity and quality of goods returned from trade as per documents to avoid customer complaints and stock variations

Collection of payment / Invoice Delivery Confirmation:

Ensure all invoices are returned to the warehouse on same day of delivery signed by the customer as proof of delivery.

Incoming / outgoing product quality and SOP’s

• Ensure quality of goods offloaded and loaded is perfect and that the offloading / loading patterns will not create damage / trade returns.
• Ensure that incoming / outgoing trailers and trucks are inspected and are in perfect condition in order to comply with QA standards.
• Ensure that picking and delivery staff are regularly trained / qualified and their performance regularly reviewed to achieve desired picking / delivery accuracy.
• Make stocks & productivity related reports

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:

• Graduate in B. Com or Equivalent Experience.
• 3 years supervisory experience in Logistics & Supply chain
• Good knowledge of Quality Assurance elements and implementation
• Good communication skills, high degree of Initiative and ownership, leadership qualities
