Job summary

Mohamed Hilal Group in the UAE is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee end-to-end warehouse and transportation operations across our retail businesses. This role leads receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution, ensuring on-time deliveries and cost‑effective movement of stock between central warehouses, stores, and offices.

You will also manage the fleet and transportation function, supervise drivers and vehicles, and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant warehouse and logistics experience, with strong experience in retail warehousing and transportation management.
• Experience managing warehouse operations along with fleet, drivers, and distribution activities.
• Experience in retail, luxury retail, FMCG, fashion, beauty, cosmetics, perfumes, or similar industries is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, transportation planning, and retail distribution.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end warehouse and transportation operations, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, inventory management, stock distribution, transportation, and delivery of products across the Group's retail businesses.

The role will manage warehouse operations as well as the fleet and transportation function, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of stock between the central warehouse, retail stores, offices, and other business locations.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, checking, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and proper storage of products.
• Maintain high standards of warehouse organization, security, and housekeeping.
• Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of products to retail stores and other locations.
• Monitor inbound and outbound shipments and ensure all relevant documentation is maintained.

Inventory & Stock Control

• Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy and alignment between physical and system stock.
• Plan and conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and physical inventory checks.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, shortages, damages, and losses.
• Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, damaged, and obsolete stock.
• Implement effective processes to minimize inventory loss and operational errors.
• Ensure proper handling and movement of luxury retail products.

Transportation & Distribution Management

• Manage the end-to-end transportation and distribution of products from the warehouse to retail stores and other business locations.
• Plan and coordinate daily delivery schedules based on store requirements, stock availability, and business priorities.
• Manage the Group's delivery fleet, drivers, vehicles, and transportation resources.
• Allocate vehicles and drivers efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and optimum utilization.
• Monitor delivery routes, schedules, fuel consumption, vehicle utilization, and transportation costs.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Coordinate with retail stores regarding delivery schedules, urgent stock requirements, returns, and collections.
• Manage third-party logistics and transportation providers where applicable.
• Monitor the performance of external transport partners and ensure agreed service levels are maintained.
• Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and compliant with UAE regulations.
• Monitor vehicle documentation, registration, insurance, servicing, and renewal requirements.
• Track and investigate delivery delays, damages, shortages, and other transportation-related issues.
• Identify opportunities to optimize delivery routes, reduce transportation costs, and improve delivery efficiency.
• Establish and monitor transportation KPIs, including on-time delivery, vehicle utilization, delivery cost, fuel efficiency, and delivery accuracy.

Retail Distribution

• Work closely with Retail Operations, Merchandising, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to ensure stores receive the required stock on time.
• Manage stock replenishment and inter-store transfers.
• Coordinate transportation requirements for new store openings, promotions, seasonal launches, and high-volume retail periods.
• Ensure urgent store requirements are prioritized and delivered within agreed timelines.
• Coordinate the movement of products between warehouses, stores, offices, and other Group locations.

Team Management

• Lead and manage the warehouse and transportation teams, including warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics coordinators.
• Allocate daily responsibilities and monitor team productivity.
• Ensure warehouse and transport teams follow company policies, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity.
• Provide coaching and training to improve operational efficiency and service levels.

Systems, Reporting & Cost Control

• Ensure all warehouse and transportation transactions are accurately recorded in the relevant ERP/WMS systems.
• Monitor warehouse and transportation KPIs and prepare regular management reports.
• Track logistics and transportation costs and identify areas for cost optimization.
• Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance costs, third-party logistics costs, and delivery expenses.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure warehouse and transportation operations comply with UAE health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure drivers and warehouse employees follow appropriate safety procedures.
• Maintain proper warehouse housekeeping and safe storage practices.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained in safe operating condition.
• Monitor compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
