Job summary

YOSH HOSPITALITY LLC OPC is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Assistant to maintain accurate stock records and support daily warehouse operations in Abu Dhabi. You will participate in counts, cycle checks, and system updates to ensure stock integrity and compliance with expiry date requirements.

Responsibilities include receiving, put-away, picking, dispatch, and stock rotation, while using scanners and WMS systems to document movements and discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse inventory roles desirable.
• Experience with stock counts, audits and discrepancies.
• Familiar with barcode scanners and warehouse technology.
• Ability to count, record and reconcile stock accurately.
• Good numeracy, organization and admin skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily warehouse inventory activities ensuring stock is counted, recorded, stored and controlled accurately, safely and efficiently.
• Complete stock counts, cycle counts, location checks, inventory audits and other routine stock control activities.
• Record inventory movements, adjustments, discrepancies, damages, shortages, overages and other stock information in the warehouse management system.
• Use barcode scanners and warehouse technology to complete stock control tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies by checking warehouse locations, delivery records and system information.
• Report missing, damaged or non-conforming stock promptly to the Warehouse Supervisor or Direct Manager.
• Assist with receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, dispatch and other warehouse activities as required.
• Ensure stock is stored in the correct location with proper labeling, batch control and expiry date requirements.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily warehouse inventory activities ensuring stock is counted recorded stored and controlled accurately safely and efficiently
• Complete stock counts cycle counts location checks inventory audits and other routine stock control activities in accordance with company procedures
• Check product quantities codes descriptions batch numbers expiry dates packaging and stock condition during inventory checks
• Record inventory movements adjustments discrepancies damages shortages overages and other stock information accurately in the warehouse management system
• Use barcode scanners handheld terminals inventory systems and other warehouse technology to complete stock control tasks and maintain accurate records
• Investigate inventory discrepancies by checking warehouse locations delivery records stock movements documentation and system information
• Report missing damaged incorrectly labelled expired unidentified or non-conforming stock promptly to the Warehouse Supervisor or Direct Manager
• Support the quarantine segregation relabelling return disposal or correction of damaged rejected expired or unidentified stock in accordance with company procedures
• Assist with receiving put-away replenishment picking dispatch stock rotation and other warehouse activities as required
• Ensure stock is stored in the correct location and that product identification labelling batch control and expiry date requirements are maintained
• Support accurate stock rotation including first-in first-out FIFO or other product-specific rotation procedures where applicable
• Maintain clean organised secure and clearly labelled warehouse storage areas aisles workstations and inventory locations
• Assist with investigations into stock variances supplier discrepancies customer queries inventory errors and warehouse process issues
• Prepare and maintain inventory reports count sheets adjustment records discrepancy documentation and other relevant stock control paperwork
• Communicate inventory concerns stock shortages location issues system errors and operational delays to the appropriate supervisor or manager
• Handle products pallets cages trolleys and warehouse equipment safely using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment where trained and authorised
• Complete routine checks of warehouse equipment and report defects damage maintenance requirements or unsafe conditions without delay
• Follow all health and safety manual handling fire safety security hygiene quality and personal protective equipment PPE procedures
• Support process improvements stock management projects seasonal demand audits and other warehouse requirements as directed by the Direct Manager
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Direct Manager

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Inventory Assistant Stock Controller Inventory Clerk Warehouse Assistant Stores Assistant or in a similar warehouse or logistics role is desirable
• Good understanding of warehouse inventory control stock counting stock movements stock rotation product locations and general warehouse processes
• Experience completing stock counts cycle counts inventory checks audits or investigations into stock discrepancies is advantageous
• Experience using warehouse management systems inventory systems barcode scanners handheld terminals spreadsheets or other computerised stock control systems
• Good knowledge of stock identification product labelling location control batch tracking expiry date monitoring and safe storage procedures
• Ability to accurately count record check and reconcile stock information while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to identify inventory errors investigate discrepancies resolve straightforward issues and escalation concerns promptly
• Good numeracy organisational administrative and basic computer skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with warehouse colleagues supervisors delivery personnel and other departments
• Ability to organise and prioritise tasks meet deadlines follow procedures and maintain accuracy during busy operational periods
• Physically able to stand walk bend reach lift carry push and pull goods and equipment for extended periods in accordance with safe manual handling procedures
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively take responsibility support colleagues and maintain a professional approach
• Reliable punctual proactive safety-conscious and committed to maintaining accurate inventory records and high warehouse standards
• Forklift truck or other material handling equipment certification is an advantage where relevant to the warehouse operation
• Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings evenings weekends public holidays overtime and additional shifts when required by business operations
