Job summary

The Arts Club Dubai, located in DIFC, seeks a hospitality professional to run a service station, take orders, and ensure accurate input into the POS while delivering a premium guest experience.

You will promote sales, build lasting relationships with members and guests, liaise with the kitchen on orders and stock, and pursue upselling opportunities for cocktails, wine, sake and other beverages in coordination with Bar and Sommelier teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in luxury hotels or fine dining
• Excellent level of English, written and spoken
• Desirable knowledge of cocktails
• Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent team management, communication and listening skills
• Demonstrate integrity and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work long shifts and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Run a station during allocated schedule, take orders and input items in POS

• Liaise with kitchen on order taking, stock levels and special requests
• Ensure up-selling opportunities for cocktails, wine, sake and other beverages with Bar and Sommelier teams
• Handle minor complaints in a professional and courteous manner
• Ensure crockery, cutlery and equipment are prepared and available
• Minimize food and beverage wastage
• Keep the Lounge area clean and presentable during opening times
• Complete opening and closing duties as per daily checklist

What Will You Do

Your main duties and responsibilities are:

• Run a station during allocated schedule, including taking the orders, looking after the service for food and beverage, and making sure that the items served are correctly inputted in the point of sale


• Promote sales and build up good relationship with members and guests, and ensure a positive and lasting guest experience by obtaining direct feedback


• Liaise with the kitchen on order taking, stock levels and any special requests


• Ensure up-selling opportunities for cocktails, wine, sake and other beverages in liaison with Bar and Sommelier teams


• Handle minor complaints in a professional and courteous manner


• Ensure that all crockery, cutlery and any other objects and equipment needed for service are prepared and available


• Be efficient in keeping food and beverage wastage to a minimum


• Ensure that the Lounge area is clean and presentable throughout the opening times


• Monitor the daily checklist and ensure all opening and closing duties are completed

What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in same or similar role in luxury hotels or fine dining restaurant


• Excellent level of English, written and spoken


• Desirable knowledge of cocktails


• Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications


• Have strong organisational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility


• Excellent team management, communication and listening skills


• Demonstrate integrity in all dealings and maintain high level of confidentiality


• Ability to work long shifts and stand for the extended period of time
