Job summary

The Arts Club Dubai, located in DIFC, seeks a Cloakroom Attendant to deliver warm, attentive service to members and guests. You will assist during check-in, manage cloakroom and linen, and help uphold club standards throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in luxury hotels or fine dining, good English, strong organization, and the ability to stand long shifts, with confidentiality and integrity as core values.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a similar role within luxury hotels or fine dining.
• Good level of English.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize cleaning of washrooms, lobby, and cloakroom areas; maintain supplies.
• Prepare materials and equipment for service and schedule cleaning times.
• Keep cloakroom neat and tidy and assist with other cleaning duties.
• Receive and/ or collect linen and other materials as required.
• Direct members and guests to destinations and assist as needed.
• Record lost property and store securely in the office with tags.

ABOUT US

The Arts Club Dubai will be perfectly located in the heart of the DIFC, set over four floors and totalling 65,000 square feet, in the brand new ICD Brookfield Place development designed by Foster + Partners.

It will be the first international outpost of the celebrated and historical private members’ club, established in 1863 in Mayfair, London. The Arts Club Dubai unveils an amazing opportunity for a talented artisan to join our passionate and creative team. The Cloakroom Attendant will be responsible for providing excellent, warm and friendly service to members and their guests. Whilst ensuring strong member recognition, provide assistance during check in, support with any request and need during visit, and ensure a warm and attentive goodbye. Work in collaboration with the rest of the team to uphold the Club rules and ensure highest levels of guest experience.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Your main duties and responsibilities are:

• Organize the cleaning of the ladies and gentlemen washrooms, lobby and cloakroom areas, and ensure proper stocks of hand tissues, toilet paper, hand wash liquids and sanitizers are maintained at all times
• Ensure that all the materials and equipment needed for service are prepared and available, and time schedule for cleaning of each areas has been organized and adhered to
• Assist with keeping the cloakroom area neat and tidy, and support with any other cleaning duties deemed necessary
• Receive and/or collect linen, items, and other materials as required
• Direct members and guests to the correct destination when asked for assistance
• Record any lost property at the end of each evening in the ‘lost property folder’, and store it in the lost property cabinet in the office with tags

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:

• Minimum 1 year experience in same or similar role in luxury hotels or fine dining restaurants
• Good level of English
• Have strong organisational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Demonstrate integrity in all dealings and maintain high level of confidentiality
• Ability to work long shifts and stand for the extended period of time
