Job summary

IKEA Dubai is seeking a skilled Visual Merchandiser to ensure the store’s visual expression aligns with IKEA’s standards and guidelines. You will plan and implement creative display solutions, coordinating with teams to align with running commercials and preserve brand integrity.

Collaborating with the Interior Designer and Sales teams, you will ensure cost-effective, safe displays that reflect the local market and IKEA’s sustainability guidelines.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Interior Designing or Architecture.
• 3-5 years of experience in retail interior design or visual merchandising.
• Proven ability to visualize, design, and communicate home furnishing and retail solutions.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate execution of accessories shops, shop windows, podiums, perimeter breaks, self-serve displays.
• Ensure brand integrity by adhering to IKEA manuals for functional home furnishing solutions.
• Collaborate with the 1st Interior Designer to align displays with commercial activities.
• Work with Sales and In-Store Logistics to implement projects and sales steering using IKEA's display solutions.
• Support planning and implementation of the store's commercial calendar.
• Ensure displays are cost-effective, safe, and compliant with local laws.
• Maintain knowledge of home furnishing solutions in the local market.

• The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that the store’s visual expression aligns with IKEA's standards and guidelines. This involves planning and implementing creative display solutions, coordinating with teams to ensure alignment with running commercials, and maintaining high standards of store presentation to represent the IKEA brand effectively. Success in this role involves maintaining high levels of customer inspiration and brand integrity.

  What You Will Do:

  • Plan and coordinate the execution of accessory shops, shop windows, activity podiums, perimeter breaks, self-serve, Swedish Food Market and Exit Cafe displays.
  • Ensure the integrity of the IKEA concept and brand by adhering to IKEA manuals for functional home furnishing solutions.
  • Collaborate with the 1st Interior Designer to ensure display solutions align with commercial activities.
  • Work with Sales and In-Store Logistics teams to implement projects and sales steering activities using IKEA's display solutions and sales methods.
  • Support the planning and implementation of the store's commercial calendar.
  • Ensure display solutions are cost-effective, safe, and environmentally friendly, complying with local legislation.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of home furnishing solutions within the local market.
