Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.

• 5+ years in the retail industry.
• Demonstrated high level skills in management.

Responsibilities

• Participate in setting and reviewing MAF Retail's strategy in collaboration with management, including objectives and budgets.
• Direct the process of designing, reviewing and updating financial systems, procedures and policies.
• Lead the costing process of the company's products, balancing profit margin with costs.
• Collaborate with department heads on setting annual objectives, budgets and plans.
• Lead the preparation and updating of financial statements per IFRS.
• Ensure regulatory reports are completed as required.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Vice President - Finance (Country Finance Manager) is responsible for leading MAF Retail's finance function and setting strategic directions and annual objectives. The role holder is also responsible for overseeing the development of the annual business plan and leading the function's strategy to achieve business objectives.

ROLE PROFILE

• Participate in setting and reviewing MAF Retail's strategy in collaboration with the MAF Retail's management, in addition to strategic objective, business plans and budgets needed to achieve
• Assess the finance function's capabilities in terms of resources including: technology, processes, and people, thus ensuring the availability of the required resources needed to realize MAF Retail's strategies
• Direct the process of designing, reviewing and updating financial systems, procedures and policies in collaboration with the Finance Managers, ensuring their alignment with MAF Retail's strategic direction and objectives
• Lead the costing process of the company's products, by balancing between the company's profit margin and all costs associated with producing the products
• Collaborate with department's heads on setting their annual objectives, business plans and budgets through cascading down from the department's objectives, business plan, and budget
• Lead the process of preparing and updating financial statements that includes Balance Sheet, Income statement, and Cash Flow statement, ensuring statements' accuracy and compliance with international financial reporting principles
• Ensure that all financial and regulatory reports required by law, regulations, and management are completed
• Ensure that all financial accounting and reporting in the company are as per the International Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor Degree required
• MBA is preferred
• 10+ years in a Finance Department with a Managerial position
• 5+ years in the retail industry
• Demonstrated high level skills in management
• Experienced communicator, ability to develop stakeholder engagement
