Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities

• Monitor control and arrange yard equipment as per operation demand.
• Support quay side operation during real‑time operation with effective solutions to every challenge, considering safety factors and compliance with terminal policy and procedures.
• Ensure efficient and highly productive vessel planning, considering vessel stability and safety under load and discharge operations.
• Prepare and execute crane split and discharge/load sequence to support achievement of productivity targets per quay crane operation.
• Maintain ownership of vessels under operations and assist yard equipment controller and yard planner when planning disturbances occur during vessel operation.
• Control execution of the vessel operation plan.
• Ensure efficient communication with the lines, providing needed information and data transfers from both sides.
• Provide information about vessel operations progress to internal staff, vessel command, shipping lines and agents.
• Provide all required documents to vessel command, execution team to ensure timely delivery of documents.
• Visit vessel upon completion to ensure vessel command and shipping lines receive the final departure plan and all related paperwork in a timely manner (can be shared via e‑mail and confirmed in writing).
• Fill and archive vessel planning related documents in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Optimize quay and yard operation to achieve set KPI.
• Ensure safety discipline in the work area.
• Ensure compliance with Fatal Risk Standards, Safe Work Practices and HSE policy.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience in container terminal operations: 3–5 years.
• Understanding of vessel characteristics, dimensions and factors impacting vessel stability.
• Work experience in container terminal operating system.
• Education: Diploma or Graduate.
• Excellent computer operating skills.

• Vessel productivity (Container moves / Crane hours – GMPH).
• Container moves / gross vessel working hours – BMPH.
• Container moves / net vessel working hours – WBMPH.
• Yard equipment productivity.
• Truck Turnaround Time (TTT).
