Job summary

BDO in UAE seeks a motivated VAT Intern to support the VAT team with compliance, reporting, research and day-to-day tax activities. You will gain practical exposure to UAE VAT legislation, tax documentation, reconciliations, VAT return processes and client service in a professional advisory environment.

You will develop a basic understanding of eInvoicing rules, enhance MS Excel skills, and learn effective communication with senior team members while upholding BDO core values of collaboration,

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, law or related discipline.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft 365 applications; familiarity with formulas, lookups and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; proactive and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support VAT team with compliance, reporting, research and day-to-day tax activities.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining eInvoicing processes in line with regulatory requirements (FTA guidelines).
• Coordinate with senior staff to understand tasks and provide regular updates on progress.
