Job summary

University of Sharjah seeks a Tax Senior Officer to support VAT compliance and UAE e-Invoicing under the Finance Department. You will manage data reconciliations, tax documentation, and stakeholder coordination to ensure accurate tax reporting.

Key tasks include preparing VAT returns, validation of e-Invoice data, and liaising with external auditors and service providers. Requires strong Arabic/English communication and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a relevant discipline.
• 4-6 years UAE experience in a similar role with at least 2 years UAE VAT compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Support UAE VAT returns and tax data reconciliations.
• Maintain VAT schedules: output VAT, input VAT, RCM, imports, adjustments.
• Perform monthly reconciliations with ledgers and source records.
• Review tax invoices and contracts for VAT treatment per guidelines.
• Coordinate e-Invoicing implementation, validation, and mapping.
• Prepare e-Invoicing reports, logs, and procedures.
• Support VAT refunds, FTA queries, and audit activities.
• Liaise with IT/ERP teams for Oracle Fusion tax configurations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT/e-Invoicing regulations and updates.
