Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) invites applications for the Utility Operator Qatar Pool role based in the UAE. The job focuses on refurbishment of superstructures cell relining, assisting pot changes, rebuilding pot shell, and ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently to maximize production.

Proactive tool and equipment preparation is required. The role includes operating mobile equipment (forklift, pay loader), supporting briсk lining to standards, and performing welding/fabrication

Qualifications

• Completion of the specified PG5 training modules.
• One year of experience in heavy industry is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Assists cell relining operator preparing in advance all necessary tools and equipment.
• Operates mobile equipment such as forklift, pay loader etc.
• Assists cell relining operator bricks lining in accordance with required standards and specified designs.
• Assists in carrying out superstructure refurbishment welding and fabrication jobs and capable of performing ramming processes.
• Maintains a high standard of housekeeping at all times.

Utility Operator Qatar Pool - Based in UAE

Job Purpose: To assist the Operator Cell Relining in the refurbishment of superstructures cell relining activities such as pot changing, rebuilding pot shell and ensure these are carried out in accordance with standard procedures safely and efficiently to achieve maximum production.

Key Accountabilities

• Assists cell relining operator preparing in advance all necessary tools and equipment required for casting prior to actual operations taking place in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operates mobile equipment such as forklift, pay loader etc complying with all safety procedures.
• Assists cell relining operator bricks lining in accordance with required standards and specified designs.
• Assists in carrying out superstructure refurbishment welding and fabrication jobs and capable of performing ramming processes.
• Maintains a high standard of housekeeping at all times.

Qualification

• Completion of training modules specified for PG5 position.
• One year of experience in heavy industry is preferable.

Skills

• Completion of the following courses: Aluminium /Water Explosions Electrical hazards.
• Possession of Forklift Licence Category 7.
