Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) seeks a cell relining support technician to assist relining operators in preparing tools and materials for casting, and to help with superstructure refurbishment and construction tasks. You will operate forklifts and other mobile equipment safely, follow standard procedures, and maintain clean, organized work areas.

Ideal candidates have PG5 training modules completed and about a year of heavy industry experience, with exposure to aluminium-related safety

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Completion of training modules specified for PG5 position.
• Minimum Experience: One year of experience in heavy industry is preferable.

• Assists cell relining operator preparing in advance all necessary tools and equipment required for casting prior to actual operations taking place in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operates mobile equipment such as forklift, pay loader etc., as required complying with all safety procedures.
• Assists cell relining operator bricks lining in accordance with required standards and specified designs.
• Assists in carrying out superstructure refurbishment, welding and fabrication jobs, and capable of performing ramming processes.
• Maintains a high standard of housekeeping at all times.

Job description

To assist the Operator, Cell Relining in the refurbishment of superstructures, cell relining activities such as pot changing, rebuilding pot shell and ensure these are carried out in accordance with standard procedures, safely and efficiently to achieve maximum production.
