Job summary

ADNOC Drilling is seeking a Cementing Support Technician to assist in cementing operations at the Abu Dhabi site. You will help prepare and rig cementing equipment, support primary and remedial cementing, and monitor pressures and volumes under supervision.

The role requires basic English, good interpersonal skills, and at least 1 year of mechanical exposure. This onsite position emphasizes safety and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Must have strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Basic written and spoken English proficiency required.
• Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Excel).
• 1 year of practical mechanical exposure or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, rig-up, and rig-down of cementing equipment, units, and accessories at the well site.
• Support cementing operations including primary, squeeze, plug setting, and remedial cementing under supervision.
• Assist in mixing, pumping and displacement of cement slurry while monitoring pressures, rates, and volumes.
• Handle bulk cement, additives, lines, manifolds, and pumping equipment ensuring safe operation.
• Support pre-job checks, equipment inspections, function tests, and routine maintenance of cementing units.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational issues during cementing jobs and report abnormalities to the Cementing Operator or Supervisor.
• Maintain proper handling, storage, and housekeeping of cementing chemicals, additives, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with rig crew, drilling team, and other service lines to ensure smooth execution of cementing operations.
• Comply with UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling, and Client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice and standards.

JOB PURPOSE :

Assists in the execution of cementing operations to support oilfield services activities. Ensures the safe, efficient, and quality delivery of cementing services to achieve well integrity, zonal isolation, and operational performance in line with ADNOC and client requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assist in the preparation, rig-up, and rig-down of cementing equipment, units, and accessories at the well site.


• Support cementing operations including primary cementing, squeeze cementing, plug setting, and remedial cementing under the supervision of the Cementing Operator and Supervisor.


• Assist in mixing, pumping, and displacement of cement slurry while monitoring pressures, rates, and volumes as instructed.


• Handle bulk cement, additives, mixing systems, lines, manifolds, and pumping equipment ensuring correct connection and safe operation.


• Support pre-job checks, equipment inspections, function tests, and routine maintenance of cementing units and related equipment.


• Assist in troubleshooting operational issues during cementing jobs and report abnormalities to the Cementing Operator or Supervisor.


• Maintain proper handling, storage, and housekeeping of cementing chemicals, additives, tools, and equipment.


• Coordinate with rig crew, drilling team, and other service lines to ensure smooth and timely execution of cementing operations.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

• Secondary School Certificate (or equivalent)

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• Minimum 1 years practical mechanical exposure or in similar position.


• Given the nature of oil field service work, must possess good interpersonal and communications skills.


• Computer awareness in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel programmes.


• Simple written and spoken English.
