Responsibilities

  • Document patient records accurately, noting findings and examination details.

  • Adhere to safety and health regulations to prevent contamination and accidents.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Assist in the inventory and requisition of supplies as needed for the equipment.
  • Update and maintain knowledge of advancements in sonography technology and techniques.
  • Educate patients on the procedures and answer any questions they may have.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of ultrasound examination areas.

Requirements
  • Associate s degree or equivalent certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Registered or eligible for registration through ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography).
  • Proven experience working as an Ultrasound Technician in a clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology from both normal and abnormal imagery.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot sonographic equipment effectively.
  • Commitment to patient care and strong adherence to ethical healthcare standards.
