Job summary

Hafeet Rail is seeking a Payroll Specialist in the UAE (Abu Dhabi) to manage accurate, timely payroll processing, ensure regulatory compliance, and handle deductions, bonuses, and EOS calculations. You will work with HR and Finance to maintain records and resolve employee inquiries.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in payroll, strong knowledge of UAE labour law, and experience with SAP and Excel. Arabic is preferred, English required. This role requires on-site work in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UAE Labour Law.
• Experience with payroll deductions, salary expenses, electronic transfers and wage/hour laws related to payroll.
• No less than 4 years’ proven experience in a payroll role.

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate, timely disbursement of salaries in line with UAE and GCC regulations.
• Execute monthly payroll processes including deductions, bonuses, overtime, and bank detail updates.
• Verify and reflect salary changes, promotions, and updates in the SAP system promptly.
• Ensure compliance with Wage Protection System (WPS) and government filings.
• Reconcile payroll reports monthly and provide management summaries.
• Prepare government reports and filings including pension contributions and labor law documents.
• Audit SAP and HR systems for accurate payroll reporting (gross payroll, time/attendance, leave accruals, deductions).
• Provide payroll documents (salary certificates, pay slips, verification letters) within deadlines.
• Calculate End of Service benefits and ensure final settlements comply with regulations.
• Manage leave administration and update systems accordingly.
• Administer benefits programs (education, housing loans, relocation allowances, insurance).
• Coordinate with insurers for renewals, updates, and claims processing.
• Maintain relationships with auditors, banks, and government authorities.
• Collaborate with HR to keep employee records accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate with finance on payroll funding, bank transfers, and reconciliations.
• Develop and update payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Identify opportunities for automation and work with IT to enhance payroll systems.
• Support Payroll Officer and provide backup during peak periods.
