Job summary

Xpertfirst International FZ -LLC in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi is seeking a Unit Shutdown Leader to orchestrate major turnaround activities on mechanical static equipment and piping. You will lead a team of shutdown coordinators, ensure safe planning, and deliver on schedule with compliance to HSE and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering background with 10+ years in TA/shutdown, GCC leadership experience on large turnarounds, and familiarity with major petrochemical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years in turnaround/shutdown maintenance.
• 5+ years in the GCC as Unit Leader or equivalent on multi-turnarounds.
• Petrochemical background preferred.
• Experience with major operators is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Unit Shutdown Coordinators for TA activities on static equipment and piping.
• Coordinate planning with resources for safe and effective execution.
• Direct coordinators to complete maintenance scope on heat exchangers, columns, vessels, reactors, fin fans, valves and piping.
• Ensure Method Statements, JSA, FRA and rigging plans are prepared and approved.
• Participate in Pre-TA and Post-TA meetings and follow up on actions.
• Enforce HSE and Quality requirements and promote safe work practices on site.
• Liaise with TA, Inspection, engineering and supervision teams on requirements and reporting.
• Coordinate subcontractors and work with planning for schedule implementation and progress.
• Report daily progress to Shift Leader, Site Manager and TA Engineer.
• Maintain records of work performed and work in progress.
