Job summary

Right Advisors is seeking an experienced Shutdown Lead to manage and execute complex shutdown turnaround and maintenance projects in Habshan, UAE. The role requires coordinating with client teams, engineering, operations, QA/QC and HSE to ensure safe, on-time delivery of all activities.

The ideal candidate will have a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and proven experience in gulf oil & gas projects, with strong planning, scheduling, and resource management skills. Immediate joiner preferred.

• Shut-down and turnaround management experience in oil & gas/refinery projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall planning and execution of Shutdown Turnaround and Maintenance projects.
• Manage complete shutdown activities from pre-shutdown planning through execution, commissioning and close-out.
• Develop detailed shutdown execution strategies, schedules, resource plans and work methodologies.
• Coordinate with client project management, engineering, maintenance operations, QA/QC and HSE teams.
• Plan and mobilize manpower, equipment, tools, materials and subcontractors for shutdown execution.
• Monitor shutdown progress against approved schedules and ensure timely completion of critical activities.
• Review daily progress reports and project KPIs; manage costs, variation orders and resources.
• Lead daily shutdown reviews and ensure mechanical completion, punch-list clearance, reinstatement and handover.

Requirements

• Lead the overall planning and execution of Shutdown Turnaround and Maintenance projects.
• Manage complete shutdown activities from pre-shutdown planning through execution commissioning and close-out.
• Develop detailed shutdown execution strategies schedules resource plans and work methodologies.
• Coordinate with the client project management team engineering maintenance operations QA/QC and HSE teams.
• Plan and mobilize manpower equipment tools materials and subcontractors required for shutdown execution.
• Monitor shutdown progress against approved schedules and ensure timely completion of critical activities.
• Manage mechanical piping structural E&I and other maintenance activities associated with shutdown projects.
• Identify critical-path activities and implement recovery plans to minimize delays and downtime.
• Ensure effective coordination of permit-to-work isolation LOTO and plant access requirements.
• Maintain strict compliance with client HSE procedures and international Oil & Gas safety standards.
• Monitor productivity manpower utilization equipment deployment and overall project performance.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors and ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Review daily progress reports manpower reports productivity reports and shutdown KPIs.
• Manage project costs variation orders commercial issues and resource utilization.
• Conduct regular coordination meetings with the client and project stakeholders.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout shutdown execution.
• Lead daily shutdown review meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management.
• Ensure proper mechanical completion punch-list clearance reinstatement and handover.
• Prepare shutdown completion reports lessons learned and project close-out documentation.

Required Skills:
