Job summary

PowerTech in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Aerodynamics Engineer to lead gas turbine turbomachinery design and analysis within turbojet and turbofan programs. You will apply expertise in propulsion, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics to support development and testing.

The role requires coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, developing numerical and experimental methods, and mentoring teammates. Fluent English, 5–15 years of related experience, and hands-on experience with CFD tools

Qualifications

Aerospace or mechanical engineering degree is required.
Strong background in gas turbine propulsion and turbomachinery design.
Hands-on experience in compressor/turbine design and optimization.
Experience with unsteady modelling, bleed flows, and compressor stability is a plus.
Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

Carry out gas turbine turbomachinery aerodynamic design and analysis activities.
Perform design and off-design analysis; post-process test data; liaise with stakeholders.
Provide technical leadership in engine architectural studies.
Develop numerical and experimental methods for verification and validation.
Define metrics, monitor performance, and give feedback.
Review designs, simulations, and testing guidelines; identify risks.
