Job summary

GAL Global Aerospace Logistics in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Tool and Equipment Controller to manage the receipt, storage and issuance of tools, machine parts and consumables. You will maintain records, perform inventories and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting tools for wear, repairing items, delivering to sites, marking assets and ordering replacements as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in receiving, storing and issuing tools and equipment.
• Ability to maintain records of issued/returned items.
• Familiar with inventory control and stock replenishment.
• Ability to inspect tools/equipment for wear and defects.
• Commitment to safety, quality and environmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, issue hand tools, machine tools, dyes, materials and equipment.
• Maintain records of issued and returned tools, manually or via computer.
• Locate lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
• Prepare periodic inventories and replenish stock.
• Inspect tools/equipment for defects and wear; report issues.
• Repair, service and lubricate tools using hand tools or spray methods.
• Deliver tools and consumables to workers.
• Mark and identify tools using tags or marking tools.
• Maintain tool inventory and order new equipment when needed.
• Ensure tool control and accountability per policies.
• Comply with safety, quality, environmental policies.
• Support change initiatives reflecting best practices.
• Perform other related duties as directed.
