Job summary

Schneider Electric MEA seeks a senior leader to own complex presales and tender management for One Solution services. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, craft competitive tenders, and ensure contracts align with policy while driving value-based pricing and risk mitigation.

Ideal candidates bring +5 years in project, tendering, and contract management in a service-focused environment, with strong communication and negotiation abilities and fluency in English.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • +5 year in Project, Tendering and contract management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of Power system solution, Service offer (ESP & EcoCare, ETAP Digital Twin, ETE), substation automation and control & protection system is a plus.
  • Accountability: Demonstrates a high level of ownership and accountability for the quality and success of delivered results.
  • Leadership: Sets an example for team members in commitment, work ethics, and personal character. Be a Team Player.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer orientation with the ability to understand and meet customer needs effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in all tender documents.
  • Language skills: Fluency in the English language is must.

Responsibilities

  • Lead presales strategies and pitch solutions to customers.
  • Prepare competitive tenders for service contracts, including complex modernization & maintenance contracts and digital services.
  • Own tender process from CPP until award and seamless handover to operations.
  • Review and analyze customer requirements and integrate into offers and concepts.
  • Define pricing policies and ensure value-based pricing and realization.
  • Lead tender team members from various internal functions and coordinate communication to keep offers on schedule.
  • Coordinate contract terms negotiations with customers and ensure SBP compliance.
  • Prepare detailed cost calculations and financial overviews (P&L, risk, treasury).
  • Conduct tender risk reviews and 360-degree bid analyses for approvals.
  • Ensure well-documented proposals and proper project execution setup.

Your Mission

Lead the complex and strategics services opportunities for the ONE Solution Services MEA

What will you do?
  • Presale activity:
    • Develops presales contract strategies and works closely with marketing, sales, business management, and One Solution teams (Multi-segment and C&SP team) to Pitch solutions to a customer and explain all the features and benefits of a particular product or service.
  • Tender & Contract Management:
    • Tender Preparation:
      • Develop and prepare competitive tenders for service contrats, including complex Modernization & maintenance contracts, Digital services solution and site activities in compliance with Customer project process (CPP).
      • Initiate Bid preparation compiling documentation, building the tender plan, Tender conduct kick-off, Tender costs management (SFC), refine risk assessment, and define variation order and claim management strategy.
    • Ownership of Tender Process (CPP): Take full ownership and accountability of the tender preparation process until the contract is awarded and ensuring a seamless handover to operations.
    • Customer Requirements: Review and analyze customer requirements, ensuring they are accurately integrated into offers and solution concepts.
    • Strategic Pricing: aligned with Service Sales, define and support strategic pricing policies, ensuring value-based pricing and effective price realization.
    • Tender Team Management (SMEs/SMLs):
      • Lead the various tender team members including from Account Manager (GAM/KAM/Sale), Contract Dept, Legal Dept, Corporate Finance & Treasury, Custom & Tax, Solution Architect/Technical Leader, Execution Team, Procurement/Global Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, SRM, Cyber security and Management at various Business Unit.
      • Coordinate internal communication and follow up to ensure offers are complete on schedule.
      • Perform reliable and efficient communication to main stakeholders, raise roadblocks when needed.
    • Contract Management:
      • Coordinate and closely work with contract & Legal team on managing contracts, deliverables, deadlines, contract terms and conditions.
      • Lead the Contract T&Cs negotiation with Customer while ensuring compliance to solution business policy (SBP).
    • Financial Management:
      • Prepare detailed cost calculations, integrating supplier quotations and considering technical and commercial aspects.
      • Prepare the Financial overview covering P&L, Risk & opportunity capture, CCOGM% as per guidelines/threshold.
      • Prepare the Cash & Risk curve
      • Review the Finance part with respective SMEs (Finance, Credit & Treasury)
    • Risk Management: Conduct tender and risk reviews, ensuring all potential risks are identified and mitigated.
    • Tender review & Approval: Conduct the Tender review for a comprehensive 360 degree analysis and elevate the bid for approval as per Customer project process (CPP).
    • Documentation:
      • Ensure all proposals are well-documented and submitted in a timely manner, securing necessary technical and commercial support.
      • Prepare the Contractual & Project Execution setup.
      • Prepare the Project schedule with clear define the dependency with customer.
      • Ensure the offer compliance with approve mandate incorporated recommendation of SME/SML/SRM.
    • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to clarify requirements and provide support during the tender process, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Continuous Improvement: Conduct the win/loss analyses for complex tender for improvement in bid strategy and implement the best practice in tender processes so as to enhance efficiency and quality.
