Job summary

Schneider Electric in United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Installed Based Service Engineer to lead MV/LV installation, testing, and commissioning on customer sites. You will perform protective relays programming, troubleshoot MV/LV equipment, and support contract delivery with a focus on field service excellence.

The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience, GIS switchgear know-how (GHA/GMA/WS), and strong communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in installation, mechanical retrofit, testing and commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Must have good communication and interfacing skills.
• GIS switchgear experience is mandatory, especially in GHA, GMA, WS.
• Knowledge on Windows MS Office / associated software related to the test equipment and relays, LV specialization software.

• Responsible for project delivery and field activities on customer installed base.

We are looking for a seasoned, experienced professional Installed Based Service Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Operate as LV/MV Specialist with protection capability.
• MV troubleshooting, erection, and maintenance of our MV products/equipment.
• LV troubleshooting, retrofit – mechanical bus bar modification, erection, maintenance, and testing of LV products/equipment.
• Assist in spare parts/retrofit/extension panels/offers preparation and contract execution.
• Knowledge in LV switchgear such as Okken/Blok set.
• Knowledge in Masterpact NT/NW, Compact Breakers, and Micrologic (LV Trip unit).
• Interfacing with customers or works to clarify technical matters and rectifying all related problems of MV/LV products/equipment.
• Programming and troubleshooting of protection relays (SEPAM, MICOM & VIP). Knowledge of other manufacturers’ relays is a plus.
• Testing and commissioning of MV/LV equipment/products. Perform contract execution for spare parts, retrofitted extension panels, and maintenance jobs.
• Hands‑on work experience of Schneider Electric products like MC set, Okken, PIX, GenieEvo, GHA, GMA, WS.
• Responsible for project delivery and field activities on customer installed base. Dedicated to field activities on customer installed base and project delivery.
• Execute technical tasks following notification, dedicated to asset management offer and project and engineering.
• Ensure complex installation, maintenance and repair on customer installed base.
• Identify new opportunities while attending customer sites to promote services growth.
• Knowledge transfer within Services Field domain with a coordination role of jobholders scopes.

Key Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Minimum of 5‑8 years of experience in installation, mechanical retrofit, testing and commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Must have good communication and interfacing skills.
• Work at site (flexible hours) as per job requirement. (onshore/offshore).
• Have digital experience and fulfill the KPI of Schneider Electric.
• ADDC/DEWA approval if any is added advantage.
• GIS switchgear experience is mandatory, especially in GHA, GMA, WS.
• Knowledge on Windows MS Office / associated software related to the test equipment and relays, LV specialization software.
