Job summary

Kanoo Group in Dubai, UAE, is hiring a Temporary Accountant (6 Months) to support the finance team with accounting, treasury, reconciliations and month-end closing. You will monitor banks, process transfers, manage AP/AR, and assist with financial reporting and audits.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance with 3+ years’ experience, solid IFRS/GAAP knowledge, UAE tax awareness, and strong Excel skills. SAP S/4HANA knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and UAE tax regulations.
• Strong month-end review and TB, P&L and Balance Sheet analysis.
• Excellent MS Excel and MS Word skills; SAP S/4HANA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor bank accounts, process fund transfers, payments and remittances.
• Handle bank correspondence related to LCs, LGs and other instruments.
• Manage AP, AR, intercompany balances, fixed assets and reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and support month-end closing.
• Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, audits and UAE tax compliance.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure policy compliance; process vouchers.
