Job summary

gamalearnss in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Accounting/Finance professional to manage GL, AP/AR, VAT compliance, payroll, and month-end close. You will prepare financial statements and variance analysis for management review, while ensuring accurate tax documentation.

Role requires hands-on UAE VAT and corporate tax knowledge, strong Excel skills, and experience with Zoho/SAP/Oracle/QuickBooks/Tally in an SME environment. Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• 4–5 years UAE accounting/finance experience in SME or multi-function finance.
• Hands-on UAE VAT experience and knowledge of UAE corporate tax.
• Strong month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR, and payroll/WPS exposure.
• ACCA/CMA/CPA/CA (part-qualified, in progress, or fully qualified preferred).
• Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting software experience.
• Strong English and Arabic communication

Responsibilities

• Maintain GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and month-end schedules.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, cashflow summary, and variance notes for management review.
• Prepare, reconcile, and submit VAT returns where authorized; support tax computation.
• Process or support monthly WPS payroll; reconcile payroll entries and deductions.
• Verify supplier invoices, TRN/tax invoice requirements, PO matching, and payment docs.
• Maintain audit-ready schedules and support tax and audit requests; use ERP systems.
• Maintain accounting records in Zoho/SAP/Oracle/QuickBooks/Tally; Excel reporting and dashboards.

Accounting & close

Maintain GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and month-end schedules. Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, cashflow summary, and variance notes for management review.

VAT & tax support

Prepare, reconcile, and submit VAT returns where authorized. Maintain FTA/EmaraTax documentation and tax schedules. Support UAE corporate tax computation and annual return preparation with external tax advisor review.

Payroll & HR finance

Process or support monthly WPS payroll. Reconcile payroll entries, salary advances, deductions, and employee-related accruals. Support EOSB/final settlement calculations with HR review.

Procurement & vendor finance

Verify supplier invoices, TRN/tax invoice requirements, PO matching, and payment documentation. Maintain vendor records and support AP aging/payment schedules.

Audit & compliance

Maintain audit-ready schedules and supporting documents. Coordinate audit requests and tax consultant queries, escalating technical judgments to management/advisors.

Systems & reporting

Maintain accounting records in Zoho/SAP/Oracle/QuickBooks/Tally or the company’s ERP. Use Excel for reconciliations, reporting, and dashboards.
