Job summary

The Kanoo Group is seeking a Temporary Accountant (6 Months) to support our Finance team in Dubai. The role covers accounting, treasury, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.

Responsibilities include bank management, invoicing, journal entries, and assisting with financial reporting, audits, and UAE tax compliance, while ensuring adherence to IFRS/GAAP and internal controls. Experience with SAP S/4HANA is an advantage; accuracy, integrity, and teamwork will be essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and UAE tax regulations.
• Strong experience in month-end review and analysis of TB, P&L, and Balance Sheet.
• Excellent MS Excel and MS Word skills.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, numerical ability, and integrity.
• Good communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor bank accounts, process fund transfers, payments, and inward remittances.
• Handle bank correspondence related to LCs, LGs, and other banking instruments.
• Manage AP, AR, intercompany balances, fixed assets, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and support month-end/year-end closing.
• Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, audits, and UAE tax compliance.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Process and verify vouchers/invoices and provide leave cover for team members when required.
