Job summary

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company is seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform day-to-day rotating and static maintenance activities, including corrective, overhaul and breakdown work on all mechanical equipment in the designated field. You will review maintenance history, plan spares, and coordinate with engineers to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will inspect equipment, troubleshoot faults, prepare reports, update MAXIMO records, and support major overhauls and shutdowns.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
• 5 years of experience, preferably in Oil & Gas Industry

Responsibilities

• Receive work orders and review maintenance history; arrange consumables, spares, and tools.
• Obtain necessary permits and certificates per maintenance procedures and HSE regulations.
• Perform preventive, corrective, breakdown and predictive maintenance per work orders and procedures.
• Inspect to determine repair extent; prepare inspection, failure and overhaul reports.
• Monitor rotating equipment condition (visual inspection or via devices).
• Investigate and troubleshoot equipment; implement fault-finding with engineers as needed.
• Carry out installations, modifications and testing of mechanical equipment per plan and engineer instructions.
• Participate in major overhaul and shutdown activities; identify spares and tooling requirements.
• Update maintenance records and MAXIMO entries; maintain related documentation.
• Provide on-the-job training and ensure tools and safety gear are maintained.

Job Purpose

Carry out day to day Mechanical rotating and static maintenance activates in addition to corrective, overhauland breakdown maintenance activates related to all Mechanical equipment in the assigned field / Area.

Key Accountabilities

• Receive Work order from Mechanical Engineer, Review the equipment maintenance history and arrange the necessary consumables/spares/tools.
• Obtain the necessary work permits & certificates as per maintenance procedures and company HSE regulations,
• Carry out efficiently & safely all the assigned maintenance activities (Preventive, Corrective, Breakdown & Predictive) as per work order and standard maintenance procedures,

Carry out the necessary inspection in order to determine the extent of repair required & prepare inspection, failure & overhaul reports accordingly.

• Monitor the condition of all rotating equipment Visually or using the relevant devices/systems within the area of responsibility.

Investigate and troubleshoot the equipment & implement the fault -finding routine and procedures in consultation with Mechanical Engineers and other disciplines when required,

• Carry out new installations, modifications and testing of mechanical equipment through various stages as per plan and in line With the Engineer instructions,

Participate in the major overhaul and shutdown maintenance activates as assigned by Engineer andidentifies spares, special tools & tackles requirements to execute the activity.

Update the maintenance records for all mechanical equipment as per MAXIMO relevant records, Prepare and maintain a variety of records, files, drawings, manual, datasheets, etc. related to the various maintenance activities in a well administrative manner,

Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

Timeo Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards,

• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.

Reports

o Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.

Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.

Communications & Working Relationships:

Internal o Regular contact with Mechanical Engineers, Electrical, Instrument & Control and Operations teams
