Job Purpose
Perform preventive, breakdown, and shutdown mechanical maintenance activities on plant equipment to support production, quality, and safety requirements. The role covers both rotating and static equipment to ensure equipment availability, reliability, and integrity across Oil & Gas Treatment Plant, Satah Plant, Gas Export Unit, Storage, and Loading Areas.
Mechanical Maintenance
- Obtain work permits and prepare the required transport, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Allocate work to technicians and assist with diagnosing complex faults.
- Inspect and test completed work.
- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance.
- Replace worn or damaged parts.
- Perform major overhauls and determine replacement requirements.
- Prepare daily maintenance reports detailing faults, work performed, materials, labor, and time.
Policies, Systems & Procedures
- Follow company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for routine and non-routine work.
Training
- Provide on-the-job training for UAE National competency programs.
Tool Box
- Maintain company tools and safety equipment.
- Arrange repair or replacement when required.
- Conduct toolbox talks before starting work.
Time Management
- Complete maintenance within assigned time standards.
- Inform the supervisor if additional resources are required.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve procedures, equipment, and work processes.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE)
- Follow ADNOC HSE policies and international best practices.
- Participate in emergency response activities.
Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment before, during, and after work.
Reports
- Collect technical field data.
- Assist in preparing progress reports.
- Contribute to method statements and Near Miss reports.
Communications & Working Relationships
Internal
- Coordinate with other departments.
- Conduct team meetings to share incidents, findings, and lessons learned.
External
- Coordinate with Electrical, Control, and Workshop personnel.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Qualification
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma Certificate.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
Professional Certification
Technical Competencies
- Evaluate method statements and Job Safety Analysis.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures using data analysis.
- Participate in run-off load and stream testing of rotating equipment.
- Familiar with ERP systems such as SAP and Maximo.
- Support project reviews, equipment selection, and constructability.
- Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
