Job summary

ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of mechanical maintenance experience in large industrial plants to lead preventive, breakdown, and shutdown activities on rotating and static equipment.

You will obtain permits, coordinate with technicians and other departments, ensure HSE compliance, prepare reports, and participate in commissioning, run-off testing, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple ADNOC facilities.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma certificate.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Obtain work permits and prepare the required transport, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Allocate work to technicians and assist with diagnosing complex faults.
• Inspect and test completed work.
• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance.
• Replace worn or damaged parts.
• Perform major overhauls and determine replacement requirements.
• Prepare daily maintenance reports detailing faults, work performed, materials, labor, and time.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for routine and non-routine work.
• Provide on-the-job training as required.
• Maintain tools and safety equipment and conduct toolbox talks.
• Complete maintenance within assigned time standards and inform supervisor if additional resources are required.
• Identify opportunities to improve procedures and work processes.
• Follow ADNOC HSE policies and participate in emergency response activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collect technical field data and assist in preparing progress reports.

Job Purpose

Perform preventive, breakdown, and shutdown mechanical maintenance activities on plant equipment to support production, quality, and safety requirements. The role covers both rotating and static equipment to ensure equipment availability, reliability, and integrity across Oil & Gas Treatment Plant, Satah Plant, Gas Export Unit, Storage, and Loading Areas.

Mechanical Maintenance
