Job summary

Abu Dhabi Vegetable Oil Co LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced maintenance technician to perform preventive and breakdown mechanical maintenance on plant equipment. The role requires 8–10 years of electro-mechanical knowledge, with preferred experience in chillers and PET machines, plus strong adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.

You will assist in installing new machines, conduct scheduled inspections, and record maintenance tasks.

Job description

Main Function

• Performing all preventive and breakdown mechanical maintenance works.

Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities

Operational

1. Requires strong electro-mechanical knowledge with 8 to 10 years of experience.
2. Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting chillers and PET machines, along with standard pump, motor, and gearbox maintenance, are preferred.
3. Maintain all maintenance tools, equipment, materials, disposables, etc. in good conditions, preventing them from damage, loss, or thrift.
4. Adhere to ADVOC s Health & Safety policy including the proper use of personal protective equipment (safety shoes, helmet, gloves, etc.) and the proper isolation of equipment and areas of work; applying suitable warning signs and preventing unauthorized access.
5. Dispose any generated waste in accordance to ADVOC s waste management policies, ensuring the proper classification and segregation of waste.
6. Assist in installing new machines and equipment as directed.
7. Conduct all scheduled maintenance tasks and periodic inspections and testing for operational parameters, and raise abnormalities.
8. Communicate with concerned departments in advance to arrange for scheduled mechanical maintenance in accordance to the set plans, and revise dates when necessary as approved by maintenance manager.
9. Respond promptly to breakdown maintenance requests as approved by team leader/ manager, and in accordance to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
10. Record all executed mechanical maintenance tasks, and report issues and relevant information as required, including change of spare parts.
11. Implement good housekeeping and cleanliness in work location to ensure that all floors, equipment, and machines are kept tidy and clean after accomplishing the job.
12. Perform any tasks and duties delegated by Maintenance Team Leader/ Manager or Production Manager.
13. Cooperate with ADVOC with respect to any instructions and/or actions taken to protect its employees.
14. Report to immediate supervisor any situation which could possibly present a hazard and cannot be corrected by himself.
15. Report all OSH related incidents and work-related injuries.

Reporting

• Mechanical maintenance checklists, records, and reports.

Job Requirements

Education

General Secondary Certificate or equivalent.

Training/ Certification

• Mastery in Mechanical maintenance, and in reading mechanical drawings.
• Good knowledge in refinery and filling and packaging machines.
• Good Knowledge in ADVOC s Health and Safety and Environmental policies.
• Good knowledge in Housekeeping, Hygiene, and sanitation practices.
