Job summary

ADNOC in Abu Dhabi seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to install, maintain and repair rotating equipment and machinery in our heavy industry settings.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, participate in start-ups and shutdowns, and ensure compliance with HSE standards in a demanding oil/gas environment. This role requires a technical diploma or equivalent and hands-on experience of at least four years.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.
• 4 years of experience, in heavy equipment mechanical repairs, within the oil/gas industry or power plants.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine, preventive and predictive maintenance checks and tests on machinery and equipment according to schedules and check lists to ensure that the equipment are operating smoothly and as per requirement.
• Carry out a wide range of corrective maintenance by dismantling, assembling and replacing components to repair defective equipment.
• Carry out necessary tests and performance monitoring upon start-up, reporting readings outside tolerable limits.
• Carry out new installations and modifications to systems, equipment and machinery, and assist during start-up and shutdown of critical equipment and systems.
• Participate in annual shutdowns or major equipment turnarounds in the Plant.
• Coordinate where major equipment or sub-assemblies have to be removed to the workshop for major repairs or overhaul and perform repair or replacement before reassembling.

Job Purpose

Carry out the installation, maintenance and repair of various types of rotating equipment and machinery.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

Maintenance

• Carry out routine, preventive and predictive maintenance checks and tests on machinery and equipment according to schedules and check lists to ensure that the equipment are operating smoothly and as per requirement.

Tool Box

• Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.

Time Management

• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within the assigned time frame.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Housekeeping

• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Reports

• Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
• Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.

Internal Communications & Working Relationships

Contact with line Manager/ peers and other employees within the company/Group as required

External Communications & Working Relationships

Contact with external parties including consultants, third party service providers, and government agencies as required

Minimum Qualification

Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

4 years of experience, in heavy equipment mechanical repairs, within the oil/gas industry or power plants.
