Job summary

ADNOC in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, breakdown and shutdown maintenance on plant equipment, ensuring safety and quality. You will participate in fault diagnosis, major overhauls, and the preparation of reports detailing work performed, parts used, and time required.

Role involves equipment testing, spare parts coordination, and updating maintenance records. Physical work in an AC environment with site visits may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or secondary school certificate with vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.
• 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or related role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment to ensure safe operations.
• Perform major overhauls, check clearances, and decide part replacements for continuous availability.
• Participate in diagnosing faults of a complex nature and verify workmanship and performance.
• Prepare daily activity reports detailing fault cause, work performed, materials, labor and time.
• Identify spare parts and tools needed for maintenance requirements.
• Carry out new installations, modifications and testing per plan and supervisor instructions.
• Suggest improvements to maintenance practices and assist senior staff with system enhancements.
• Maintain and update drawings, records and other mechanical maintenance documents.

Job Purpose

Perform preventive, breakdown and shutdown mechanical maintenance activities of plant equipment to support production, quality, and safety requirements.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Mechanical Maintenance

• Carry out assigned routine and preventive maintenance, including replacing worn or damaged parts and arranging for test runs as necessary to ensure safe operations.
• Carry out major overhaul of equipment, check clearances precisely and determine the usage / replacement of parts for continuous equipment availability.
• Participate in the diagnosis of faults of a more complex nature. Inspect and test completed work to ensure equipment efficient performance in accordance with requirements
• Verify and issue comprehensive daily activity reports outlining the cause of the fault, the nature of the work and the materials, labour and time taken to complete the task to ensure that the job is performed as per requirement
• Identify and obtain spare parts and the necessary tools to meet maintenance requirements.
• Carry out new installations, modification and testing of equipment through various stages as per plan and in line with supervisor's instructions and check adherence to all parameters
• Identify areas for improvement in the activities performed and assist the senior section personnel to carry out modifications and improvements to the system.
• Complete necessary records in the system to provide work order failure history reporting. Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and Initiate Near miss reports.
• Update and maintain drawings, records and other documents related to the mechanical maintenance for continuous availability.

Minimum Qualification

Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field
