Atlantis The Royal in Dubai invites a skilled facilities maintenance technician to inspect, repair and maintain electrical, mechanical, and kitchen equipment across our ultra-luxury resort. You will perform preventive maintenance and read wiring diagrams to ensure reliability in guest areas and back-of-house.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years in a facilities maintenance trade.
• Experience sustaining electrical, mechanical, kitchen, painting, carpentry, and AV systems.
• Knowledge of fire life safety and water systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform maintenance on facilities structures and equipment.
• Carry out CBMs and preventive maintenance per manufacturer manuals.
• Work safely and follow health and safety guidelines (PPE).
• Provide shift coverage and escalate issues to seniors.
• Keep areas clean and maintain tools/equipment.
• Teach and train others.

Job is to inspect, perform work and preventative maintenance in all aspects and general maintenance of facilities structures and equipment.

About The Role

• Ability to complete assigned task with no supervision. Worked in a specific facilities maintenance trade for at least 6 years and attended a trade school or upper education.
• Ability to sustain assigned aspects of the property in adherence to typical facilities maintenance procedures this to include but not limited to: Electrical, Mechanical, Kitchen, Painting, Carpentry, Audio and Visual systems, Fire life safety systems, recreational water systems, Hotel rooms and public areas, exterior resort features. Etc.
• Reports to Supervisor and Manager and performs tasks and assignments as necessary.
• Carries out CBM’s (Conditional Based Maintenance) as assigned and follows through with preventive maintenance as per equipment manufacturers and property guidelines and manuals.
• Work safe and follow all health and safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Must perform shift coverage as assigned.
• Escalate and advise senior personnel on issues
• Must become familiar with the layout of the building and property
• Ability to work and perform required duties during building emergencies
• Required to keep areas clean - before, during and after jobs. Report cleanliness issues to supervision.
• Maintain tools and equipment as issued, ensure calibration is updated where appropriate
• Will be required to teach and train others

About You

• Responsible for maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing a large inventory of electric and gas commercial kitchen equipment and appliances. Including piping, gas controls, air to gas mixture, etc.
• Perform repairs and maintenance duties on a wide variety of kitchen and refrigeration equipment such as walk-in freezers, industrial-sized steam cookers, refrigerators, ice machines, washers, ovens, dryers, dishwashers, and water coolers.
• Carry out installation of new equipment; perform repairs on leaks; ensure settings o wiring controls; change equipment parts that have become old or defective
• Knowledge of how various types of kitchen and refrigeration equipment work
• Experience in soldering and blazing skills for refrigeration maintenance works / installation of compressor
• Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, and to follow manuals on operation and Maintenance.
