Job summary

Al-Futtaim invites applications for a Technical Technician within the Imagine Operations and Show Support team in Dubai. You will maintain equipment and technical assets for multimedia shows and events, contributing to strong in-house capability and reliable show delivery.

You will perform repairs and preventive maintenance, build and modify equipment, support live and special events, and ensure safety practices, including work at heights up to 15 metres, with fluent English and basic MS Office

Overview of the Role

The Technical Technician will work as part of the Imagine Operations and Show Support team, helping maintain the equipment and technical assets required for multimedia shows and events. The department aims to maintain strong in-house technical capability, so the position extends beyond routine maintenance to include equipment construction, modifications, technical improvements, event support, and show operation.

Show Support

• Carry out repairs and maintenance on plant and technical equipment.
• Perform corrective maintenance when faults or operational issues arise.
• Complete assigned Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks.
• Support scheduled shows as well as special and live events.
• Assist with warehouse, logistics, and transportation activities related to operations.
• Help maintain equipment readiness to support reliable show delivery.

Show Operations

• Build turnkey equipment in-house to support operational requirements.
• Carry out modifications to existing equipment when required.
• Operate scheduled shows, special events, and live events according to approved plans.
• Support the production team with technical elements for multimedia shows, live events, special events, and fireworks shows.
• Test and operate new or temporary equipment as required.
• Assist with show programming activities.

Safety Responsibilities

The Technical Technician must comply with safety requirements during all maintenance, show, and technical activities. This includes completing required checks and records in line with industry practices and observing all site-specific health and safety procedures. The position requires the ability to work safely at heights of up to 15 metres.

Technical Documentation

Maintain relevant technical documentation and operational checklists to support maintenance activities, show readiness, safety compliance, and effective technical operations.

• Previous experience in an appropriate fast-paced operational environment is preferred.
• Reasonable computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
