Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive seeks a Field Service Technician to perform hands-on maintenance and repair on construction equipment at customer sites across Dubai. You will diagnose faults, inspect machines, and perform preventive maintenance while following safety and reporting procedures.

The role requires 3–5 years of field service experience, a mechanical engineering background, and the ability to read manuals and wiring diagrams. UAE driving license preferred and on-site work is expected.

Overview of the Role

The Field Service Technician will provide hands-on maintenance and repair support for construction equipment operating at customer locations across Dubai. The work covers preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, component repair and replacement, machine inspections, and corrective maintenance. The position requires the ability to work confidently with major mechanical and electrical systems while using technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer service documentation. Clear communication with customers and internal teams is also important when reporting equipment condition, repair progress, and recommended maintenance.

What You Will Do

• Remove, install, disassemble, and assemble major machine components, including engines, transmissions, and axles.
• Diagnose faults and repair hydraulic, electrical, engine, and transmission systems using approved procedures.
• Carry out equipment inspections to identify maintenance requirements and support machine reliability.
• Use technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and service documentation to complete repairs accurately.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs according to manufacturer standards and operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and timesheets in accordance with quality and compliance requirements.
• Communicate technical findings, repair progress, and recommendations clearly to customers, supervisors, and colleagues.

• Previous experience with Volvo construction equipment is strongly preferred.
