Job summary

VR-People Sàrl is seeking a technical superintendent in Dubai to ensure the highest standards for dry bulk vessels. You will conduct periodic inspections and oversee safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance while managing supplies to control operating expenses.

The role requires 5–10 years at sea with 2–3 years as Chief Engineer on bulk carriers, plus multiple dry-docking projects and relevant regulatory certificates. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Chief Engineer (Unlimited) CoC required.
• 5–10 years sea service.
• 2–3 years sailing as Chief Engineer on bulk carriers.
• At least 3 dry-docking projects on bulk carriers.
• Ancillary certificates: ISM internal Auditor; Dry Dock Project Management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BWTS, CII, EEXI, FuelEU, EU ETS.

• Inspect vessels' technical condition periodically.
• Oversee safety, maintenance and regulatory compliance.
• Manage supplies for proper Opex management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodical inspections of vessels’ technical condition.
• Oversee safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage supplies for proper Opex management.

Qualifications

• Chief Engineer (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency (CoC)
• Minimum 5–10 years sea service.
• Minimum 2–3 years of sailing as a Chief Engineer with bulk carrier experience.
• At least 3 times dry docking experience of bulk carriers.
• Having ancillary certificates as: ISM internal Auditor, Dry Dock Project Management (preferred).
• To have good knowledge about the following regulatory subjects: BWTS, CII, EEXI, FuelEU, EU ETS.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
