Job summary

Nouryon is seeking a Technical Service Manager HPC MEA based in Dubai, UAE. You will drive formulation development, perform rigorous laboratory testing, and collaborate with sales, marketing, and technology teams to support business growth across the Middle East and Africa region.

You will plan and execute lab trials, develop prototypes, and communicate technical findings to customers and distributors. English proficiency is essential; Arabic or French skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Product Development, Technical Service, Application Development, or Laboratory Operations in Home & Personal Care.
• Strong formulation development and laboratory testing experience.
• Ability to independently perform laboratory trials, testing, and analysis.
• Professional proficiency in English; other languages advantageous.

We are looking for a Technical Service Manager HPC MEA who can support business growth through formulation development, technical expertise, customer collaboration, and application innovation across the Home & Personal Care market in the Middle East and Africa region.

In your future role as Technical Service Manager, you will:

• Develop and evaluate Home & Personal Care formulations using Nouryon technologies and products.
• Generate technical data and application insights to demonstrate the value and performance advantages of Nouryon products compared to competitive solutions.
• Design and execute laboratory experiments, performance studies, and customer-focused development projects.
• Develop prototypes and conduct comparative testing to support product positioning, customer recommendations, and market growth opportunities.
• Analyze samples and products to determine chemical and physical properties, providing technical recommendations and solutions.
• Perform daily laboratory activities, including sample preparation, testing, documentation, and reporting.
• Build technical expertise and application knowledge in new and emerging Home & Personal Care segments.
• Plan, organize, and execute laboratory trials and development programs to support customer and business objectives.
• Interpret test results, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and application support to customers, distributors, and commercial teams.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Technology, and Business Development teams to support customer projects and market initiatives.
• Support regional trade shows, customer seminars, distributor events, and industry conferences through technical presentations and demonstrations.

We believe you bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in Product Development, Technical Service, Application Development, or Laboratory Operations within the Home & Personal Care industry.
• Strong formulation development and laboratory testing experience.
• Proven ability to independently perform laboratory trials, testing, and analysis.
• Experience in interpreting data and converting technical findings into practical customer solutions.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Arabic, French, or African languages would be advantageous.
• Willingness to travel within the Middle East and Africa region to support customers, distributors, exhibitions, and technical events.

Good to know

This is a permanent full-time position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, supporting the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. The role reports to the Sales Leader, HPC MEA/Turkey. Regular travel within the region may be required to support customers, distributors, technical projects, exhibitions, and business development activities.
