Role Context

The Technical Program Manager will combine software, analytics, automation, and program management capabilities to improve how Amazon operations are planned, measured, and executed. The position will lead initiatives involving GenAI, data engineering, machine learning, dashboards, predictive analytics, and warehouse technology. A central part of the role is converting operational challenges into practical technical solutions. This includes understanding business requirements, designing scalable tools, coordinating implementation with technical and non-technical teams, and measuring whether delivered solutions produce meaningful operational improvements. The position also provides end-to-end ownership of technology projects, from requirements and solution design through implementation, stakeholder adoption, reporting, and continuous optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of automation tools supporting GSF operational requirements.
  • Develop and scale GenAI initiatives that improve productivity, decision-making, and operational workflows.
  • Translate business and warehouse requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Design data-driven tools that improve operational efficiency and visibility.
  • Analyze complex operational datasets to identify bottlenecks, trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
  • Develop predictive models supporting capacity planning, forecasting, and resource decisions.
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines that consolidate data from relevant operational systems.
  • Use Python and SQL to automate analysis, reporting, data transformation, and recurring operational processes.
  • Create dashboards and reporting systems that provide actionable visibility into key operational metrics.
  • Develop data visualizations using platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Partner with warehouse operations teams to identify technology improvements within operational workflows.
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for automation or technical simplification.
  • Apply data science and machine learning techniques where they can improve forecasting, planning, or operational decision-making.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of technology implementation projects from requirements through deployment and performance assessment.
  • Define program requirements, milestones, schedules, owners, dependencies, and success metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams to coordinate implementation.
  • Use data and measurable performance indicators to determine whether process changes are delivering expected improvements.
  • Develop structured processes that enable technical solutions to scale across broader operations.
  • Apply Agile methodologies to organize project execution and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Manage project schedules and track implementation risks, dependencies, and outstanding actions.
  • Communicate project progress, results, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Partner with multiple stakeholder groups at different organizational levels to drive adoption and resolve implementation barriers.
  • Support cloud-based technical solutions, with AWS experience particularly relevant.
  • Apply advanced Excel capabilities, including Pivot Tables and VLookUps, to operational reporting and analysis.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging automation, AI, analytics, and supply chain technologies for practical operational applications.
Ideal Profile

Candidates should hold a bachelor 's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline and have at least three years of relevant experience combining technology, analytics, program delivery, and operational improvement. Strong Python and SQL capabilities are important for this position. Candidates should also have practical experience with data visualization and reporting tools, ETL development, data science techniques, and process automation. Experience implementing technology solutions within warehouse, logistics, supply chain, fulfillment, or another operational environment will be particularly valuable. Applicants should understand how to move from business requirements to technical design and then through implementation, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement. At least three years of experience working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams is expected, along with experience using data and metrics to define and implement process improvements. Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including Pivot Tables and VLookUps, is required. Candidates with experience driving end-to-end delivery, presenting results to senior leadership, managing multiple stakeholders, building processes, maintaining schedules, and coordinating complex projects will be well suited to the role.
