Job summary

Sinopack Search is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee the technical delivery of high-end interior fit-out projects in Abu Dhabi. Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years UAE fit-out experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of high-end interior fit-out, joinery, finishes and MEP coordination.
• Experience delivering luxury residential, hospitality or commercial interiors.
• Ability to lead technical teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical and engineering department across multiple interior fit-out projects.
• Oversee shop drawings, material submittals and technical documentation approvals.
• Coordinate technical work between architectural, interior design, MEP, structural and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specs and contractual requirements to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Provide technical support to project managers and site teams throughout construction.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and subcontractors to resolve challenges.
• Oversee submissions, RFIs, design changes and approvals to maintain programmes.
• Manage and mentor a team of technical engineers, architects and draftsmen.
• Ensure deliverables meet specifications, quality standards and UAE regulations.

We are working with an established UAE Fit-Out contractor with a number of projects in pipeline to be delivered. I am looking for Technical Manager to oversee the technical delivery of high-end interior fit-out projects in Abu Dhabi. (This position will require relocation to Abu Dhabi if you are based in Dubai).

The company specialises in delivering complex interior fit-out projects across luxury residential, hospitality, commercial and bespoke interiors.

This position requires a technically strong candidate with proven experience working for a fit-out contractor in the UAE, capable of managing technical teams, resolving complex design and construction challenges, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the technical and engineering department across multiple interior fit-out projects.
• Oversee the preparation, coordination and approval of shop drawings, material submittals and technical documentation.
• Manage technical coordination between architectural, interior design, MEP, structural and specialist subcontractors.
• Review design drawings, specifications and contractual requirements to identify technical issues and develop practical solutions.
• Provide technical support to project managers and site teams throughout the construction and installation stages.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, designers and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges.
• Oversee technical submissions, RFIs, design modifications and approvals to maintain project programmes.
• Manage and mentor a team of technical engineers, architects and draftsmen.
• Ensure all technical deliverables meet project specifications, quality standards and relevant UAE regulations.

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Ideally 8+ years of relevant experience in the UAE fit-out market.
• Strong technical knowledge of high-end interior fit-out, joinery, finishes, specialist installations and MEP coordination.
• Experience delivering luxury residential, hospitality, commercial or similarly complex interior projects.
• Strong understanding of shop drawings, construction detailing, material specifications and installation methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and technical teams simultaneously.
